Rodeo Houston

We've been busy for the last few weeks! My cousin Meg made her way to Houston a few weeks ago, and we went to the Houston Zoo. It was a gorgeous day, and we got to see a lot of amazing animals. We took pictures, but there's a story about why we don't have them...

We went to the Houston Aero's Hockey game the next weekend with a group of friends. The Aero's won in a shoot out, which was a lot of fun. We got pics of that too, but unfortunately I left the camera at the Toyota Center. I'd never downloaded the pics from the zoo, so they were all lost.

That means we got a new camera just in time for my friend Emma's baby shower and the Houston Rodeo! We got to see Brooks & Dunn; watch the finals for barrel racing, bull riding, and roping among other things; check out incredible artwork by local students; and see more animals, including baby chicks hatching. This was our first time to go to Rodeo Houston, which we now understand to be a really big thing here! There's the typical rodeo stuff, a carnival, shopping, dancing, food, and a different concert every night!

Today we got to babysit our friends', Eric and Jennifer's, new baby boy, Scott. He's a cutie!
